Whenever I see a social media guru talk about how you must be on Instagram I cringe. While it may work for some businesses it doesn’t work for a majority of them.
Back when Instagram started there was a lot less people and ou took the time to copy and paste a link from there into your web browser and see what that shop was selling. Now that you have more friends in your feed the odds of people seeing your post had gone down. (Unless you are a Kardashian!)
I find instagram as a time suck myself. Without being able to drop a clickable link for users to come by it makes that platform kind of worthless to me. I actually use creator studio in Facebook to post to Instagram and then that same message to my page. Every social media guru will say not to do this. You should have a separate message for each platform. I say that is B.S. in most situations.
I am more focused now on building up my Facebook groups instead of pages. Since the Facebook app has a little button for groups now instead of pages that is where my users are going. I get engagement and build trust. That my friends is what leads to sales.
